There are moments in your life where you have to sit and think about what you have achieved after so much work. At ECOSTAR we tried to do the same and we are overwhelmed with the feedback we received from the people we worked with in the last 3 years!
The ECOSTAR community has gained almost 300 new members and reached a live audience of more than 15.000 people. Through our e-learning course we trained more than 120 people (in 2 edition) and through the Nature-Accelerator we supported and invested in 8 startups. With such numbers, we are happy to say that in these years news about our work has been published in more than 130 national and international media, reaching about +200.000 readers.
Overall, ECOSTAR went above partners expectations and project targets!
According to the final evaluation report of the EACEA:
“A really success story for different reasons which include the contribution to the economic growth, employability, replicability, sustainability, internationalisation and impact of the project. It was finalised achieving its aims defined in the application and performance went beyond the initial indicators (… )“
After these years of hard work we would like to take some time to say “thank you” to all our partners and supporters: without your help, it would not have been possible to reach these results! Special thanks to the institution that first believed in us and in our project: the European Commission of the Knowledge Alliance!
And what next?
Now we are concluding the evaluation of the students enrolled in the second edition of the online course and organizing the second edition of the Nature-Accelerator for 2020, which, given the learning experience we had in the first round, will be concentrated on African nature-based startups.
